More Ups than Downs is a collection of warm, uplifting poetry that speaks to the seesaw rhythm of being alive, by poet and performer Georgie Jones. It's about the joys of embracing imperfection - a soft reminder that, sometimes, elation and disaster exist side by side, and that's ok.
From 'The Unpalatable Parts', a poem that refuses to apologise from being seen in the middle of the mess, unpolished and in progress to 'The Existence of Blobfish', an entreaty to hold on tight through bad news and mood swings, More Ups Than Downs charts the moments, high and low, big and small, that make up our existence.
Shot through with wit, feminism and utter joy in the everyday, this is a gorgeous compendium of comfort and wisdom for real life.
